This program will provide a comprehensive review of state-of-the-art 2-D, 3-D, M-Mode, Doppler and transesophageal echocardiography with a strong emphasis on newer and more rapidly changing areas. The topics to be covered include diastology, ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, application of TEE in clinical practice, for cardiomyopathy and planning, preforming and following interventions. The role of echo relative to the newer imaging modalities will be discussed. There are also afternoon workshops on valvular heart disease, hemodynamics, diastology, cardiomyopathy, and 3-D echo with a focus on integrating various imaging modalities to provide the highest quality of patient care. The course is designed for the clinician and sonographer who are actively involved in adult echocardiography and wish to gain additional practical experience in these specific areas. Daily reading sessions will provide the opportunity to interpret case studies and to compare and discuss diagnoses with the faculty. An integrated format combining theory and practice will be utilized. In the morning sessions, a traditional lecture series will present state-of-the-art information on selected topics. Application of the techniques to clinical practice will be emphasized. In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to apply the lecture material in a workshopenvironment. Many cases will be presented, analyzed and discussed. Each afternoon, attendees will be able to participate in reading sessions, covering a wide spectrum of diseases in clinical cardiology. There will be live scanning demonstrations Included in afternoon workshops.Learning Objectives:Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:Use echocardiographic and Doppler methods to assess hemodynamics and cardiac function including valvular heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathiesUse echocardiographic and Doppler methods to assess hemodynamics including valvular heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathiesDescribe the utility of newer techniques of strain imaging and 3-Dimensional imaging and their role in the modern echo practiceIdentify the clinical and echocardiographic assessment for common congenital heart diseasesIntended AudienceClinical cardiologists and cardiac sonographers with interest in echocardiography, cardiology trainees, application specialists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and physician echocardiographers.ProgramSunday, March 5, 20234:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.Registration (The Peaks Hotel)5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.Welcome Reception (The Peaks Hotel) Family Members/Guests InvitedMonday, March 6, 20237:00 a.m.Registration and Continental Breakfast (Telluride Conference Center (TCC) Mountain Village Lobby) Breakfast With Mayo Clinic Sonographers - Ask Your Questions (look for assigned tabletops)7:25 a.m.Welcome and Course OverviewModerators: Martha Grogan, MD, Kyle Klarich, MDValvular Heart Disease7:30 a.m.7th Annual George M.
